Join us over August Bank Holiday weekend at the Sandgate Sea & Food Festival 2026.

The 2026 dates are the evening of Saturday 29th August and all day Sunday 30th August.

https://sandgate-pc.gov.uk/sandgate-sea-and-food-festival/

The event will be held along Granville Parade extending to Sandgate Castle and in Castle Road Car Park.

Our fabulous FREE FIREWORKS DISPLAY is planned to take place from 9pm Saturday 29th August, with live music and stalls on the seafront from 7pm-10pm.

Sunday 30th August from 10am onwards we have a fun day for all the family with live music, stalls and entertainment along Granville Parade & throughout Sandgate.

Alongside music from our two outdoor stages, venues throughout Sandgate are already making plans for music, food, drink and entertainment throughout the weekend, and we’ll promote those here as they are confirmed. Come for the fireworks, stay for the weekend!

There will be an Arts & Craft Fair on the Chichester Hall on Sandgate High Street on Sunday 30th August from 10am-4pm.

There will be stalls available on Granville Parade (Saturday night and in the day Sunday), outside Sandgate Castle on the sea front (Sunday only), and (new for 2026) on the Village Green on both Saturday evening and Sunday. If you would like a seafront or village green stall pitch, email [email protected] for options, costs and details.

Please note: Alex McNeice is Sea Festival Event Music Producer and books all the acts for the Granville Parade De Haan Charitable Trust Stage and the Castle Road Car Park Stage. If you would like to perform at the Sea Festival on one of those stages, please contact Alex directly at [email protected].

Much more coming soon, but...

The Sandgate Sea Festival 2026 will return on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2026!

We'll be coming back with loads more details over the coming days and weeks, but save the dates.

We want venues across Sandgate involved, from pubs, bars & clubs to restaurants, coffee shops, delis, shops and more. If you can run an event, act, entertainment, or even a food and drink special - any reason for people to come through your door - we'll work with you to promote it if you tell us!

And finally, the whole event depends on volunteers and sponsors: can you help with either? We'll be asking over coming months.

29-30 August 2026. Banging.

Hope everyone had a good night, thank you to The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust for the sponsorship that makes the fireworks possible, and come back today for market and music throughout Sandgate, and the Sandgate Arts and Crafts fair in the Chichester Hall from 10am.
