Saltburn-by-the-Sea Rotary fundraises for many different charities, and invites new members to join us, either as individuals or through our business membership option. Based in the lively, vibrant seaside resort of Saltburn by the Sea, the Rotary Club is an important part of the town. Founded in 1926, the Club is an established fixture of the community and is involved in many projects throughout the town. Rotary Club members not only embark on fundraising enterprises but give their time to enhance community projects and ensure as many opportunities as possible to the people of Saltburn. With an active social section there are lots of opportunities to socialise and meet new people. Saltburn nestles between the North Yorks Moors to the south and the shopping centre of Middlesbrough to the north. The surrounding rural villages offer the visitor a quiet and relaxing day out, in tranquil surroundings. The area has a wealth of historical interest, charm and character enhanced by many local attractions and events.

Plans for our 2026 Rotary Club project ‘Wrap Up’ are
moving swiftly ahead with a start date this year of October 12th October and until the 23rd October, the clock is ticking ! Last year we collected some 2000 clothing items all of which found new owners at no cost and in our local areas.

As the colder weather approaches, Saltburn Rotary have partnered with the Rotary clubs of Redcar and Guisborough to collect those unwanted warm coats, gilets, hats, scarves and gloves that we can redistribute to those in need in our area.

The sad fact is that many adults and children don't have a warm coat and we've set out to try and help. It's what Rotary is about.

Keep an eye out for information on social media, and in the October edition of Talk of The Town for information as to where our collection points will be located. They will be in convenient locations in Saltburn, Marske and other parts of East Cleveland.

Although the focus for us is very much on our local area, this is also a national project called Wrap Up and is supported by Rotary Clubs UK Wide.

Please support us, if you have a coat your child has outgrown or you have one of your own taking up space in the wardrobe, we need good quality reusable items !
Thank you 🤝

Members of Saltburn Rotary Club including President Don Hibbert, joined their ROTAKIDS at the Huntcliff School end of year Gala day on Thursday 16 July to raise money for Teesside Hospice, the ROTAKIDS chosen charity. The picture shows Rotary member Paul Chappell in the stocks having wet sponges and buckets of water thrown at him by pupils and their parents. The Final total of monies raised was £125. Congratulations ROTAKIDS 💥👏🏻👏🏻🤩💥
