D-Day Commemoration Service – 6 June 2026
Saltash Town Council wishes to make members of the public aware of a D‑Day Commemoration Service taking place on Saturday 6 June, held by the Plymouth Federation of Ex-Services Associations, in remembrance of the American servicemen and all Allied forces who took part in the Normandy landings in 1944. The service will honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served, many of whom gave their lives.

🕑 11.00am (guests are kindly asked to arrive from 10.30am)
📍 The American War Memorial at Saltash Passage
This will be followed by a shorter remembrance service at the nearby memorial stone, located by the Tamar Bridge car park (Plymouth side), opposite the former site of the main gate to the American Camp.
The Mayor of Saltash, Cllr Brian Stoyel, and the Mayoress, Maxine Stoyel, will both be in attendance on the day.
