Change your life and the lives of patients and the staff who care for them in Salisbury District Hospital by joining our 2028 Stars Appeal Fundraising Trek – 100km across the Sahara Desert.

Your challenge:
Long hot days of desert walking, cool nights in remote camps

to Heather Olsen and Sandi Lamb who fundraised for us while exhibiting their ceramics and paintings at Heather’s Studio on Greencroft Street, Salisbury, as part of the Salisbury Arts Trail in May. They raised a wonderful £725.10.

Heather and Sandi visited the Stars Appeal Breast Unit and met Lead Breast Care Nurse Ruth Maconochie to find out more about our work at Salisbury District Hospital.

Coming Up:

🎨 From Saturday, Hampshire Open Studios will be running their week long art exhibition across the county and our local supporter Kate Cledwyn Sculpture will be donating 10% of all sales made during the week.

🍰 Lynn Purcell will also be taking part in the art exhibition and will be offering Tea and Cakes by the river in Downton to raise funds for our Breast Unit fund here at Salisbury District Hospital.

📅BERWICK ST JOHN COUNTRY FAYRE 2026 - SAVE THE DATE

Enjoy a weekend full of fun activities for all ages at the Berwick St John Country Fayre this September. It takes place from Saturday 19th September to Sunday 20th September.

We’re so grateful for the continued support of the Berwick St John Country Fayre who will be raising money for us once again at this year’s event.

The fayre features steam engines, vintage tractors, dog show, rural crafts, heavy horses and classic cars. Plus, a live auction held by Southern Counties Auctioneers.

Ahead of the main fayre event, there will be live music on Friday 18th September.

Thanks to supporters like you, we’re able to fund a new project providing reading glasses for patients who arrive at Salisbury District Hospital without their own glasses.

Being able to read a book, complete a crossword, read important information or stay connected with loved ones can make a hospital stay more comfortable and less stressful.

This project is just one of the many ways your donations are providing those extra touches that make a patient's time in hospital more comfortable.

🚗CALLING ALL CAR ENTHUSIASTS🏎

This Sunday (August 16th), our president Lord Pembroke, is hosting the latest Wilton Wake Up event at Wilton House. Gates open at 8am.

Donations from the Wilton Wake Ups go towards Stars Appeal projects supporting patients and their families at Salisbury District Hospital.

Your generosity helps transform children’s hospital stays into more enjoyable experiences by providing toys and play equipment like this remote-controlled car.

Watch 4-year-old Teddie as he make his way in style to his MRI scan at Salisbury District Hospital.

His mum, Laura, told us: “This made it more exciting for Teddie. He was happy to go to his MRI scan, and it kept him occupied.”

Teddie, who was in hospital earlier in the year, was previously diagnosed with epilepsy and, although he’s now seizure free, he still has routine MRI scans to make sure everything is okay.

Thanks to your support, we’re able to make these moments a little less scary, and a lot more fun, for children like Teddie.
