Homes for Veterans England and Homes for Veterans Cymru provide a vital service of support, accommodation and opportunities to Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We believe no Veteran should be forced to sleep on the streets and provide dedicated support to Veterans across England and Wales - specifically; Wiltshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Devon, Dorset as well as Nort
h and South Wales. If you have served in the UK Armed Forces and are homeless, or you fear you could become homeless in the near future, and you are in need of support (perhaps due to depression, PTSD, ill health, unemployment, family breakdown or similar), then we may be able to help you. Please reach out or talk to your local LA, we are able to assist across regions if required. On occasion, we post updates to fundraising activity on behalf of Homes for Veterans and Alabaré our parent charity supporting the homeless across England and Wales. Please note, we will remove any posts/comments that may be deemed inappropriate and/or offensive. One of the key priorities for the Alabaré team is ensuring the mental wellbeing of veterans. The charity has two social enterprises which are also based in Wales. Both give veterans (residents and non-residents) the opportunity to get involved in activities that have a positive impact on their mental health and self-esteem; Field Kitchen, Alabaré’s mobile catering pizza enterprise in North Wales, and Boots on the Ground across Wales, supported through the Positive Pathways programme, which provides activities such as mental wellbeing walks, social forestry and bushcraft. Both services are open to enquiries from veterans, or support agencies. Alabaré Homes for Veterans Cymru is part of Alabaré’s UK work with veterans, and services for disadvantaged and vulnerable adults and young people.
