BUGS: Burns Unit Group Support

BUGS: Burns Unit Group Support BUGS is the support fund for patients treated at Salisbury District Hospital for a burn or scar. Fund Number 1223.

We cover a large regional area, from Swindon down to Southampton, Portsmouth, Weymouth and across to the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. BUGS is the support fund for patients that provides information, specialist items and equipment either for individuals or for the ward. Making a stay on the ward and return to daily life a little more comfortable. We extend this funding for patients to att

end events too, such as our family fun days, or burns camp and retreats organised by national charities. We are a fund of Salisbury District Hospital's Stars Appeal Charity.

Today we want to Thank The BUGS Team - our dedicated staff volunteers, who support BUGS along side their daily duties.

Due to work commitments we rarely get altogether at the same time, so we created this with a little help from AI. We are a multidisciplinary team of specialist nurses, physio and occupational therapists, a clinical psychologist, a treasurer and an administrator.

This follows on from the weekly online typed chat (from 7.30-8.15pm).

This is an opportunity to meet other burn survivors and ask any questions you may have or just to make some friends and have a chat!
