It was a pleasure to welcome Jools Holland to Arundells this afternoon ahead of his performance at Salisbury City Hall this evening.

Naturally, he couldn't resist spending a few moments at Sir Edward Heath's beloved Steinway piano. In fact, Jools was the second visitor to play it today!

The Steinway remains one of the highlights of the house, and it's always a special moment when musicians take the opportunity to sit down and play.

We hope everyone attending tonight's concert has a wonderful evening!

Sunshine, picnics and superb live jazz πŸŽ·β˜€οΈ

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Jazz in the Garden at Arundells. After a rather grey and damp week, the weather turned just in time for a wonderful evening of music in the gardens.

Guests arrived with an impressive array of picnics and settled in to enjoy a fantastic performance from Tim Eyles and his band, who kept the audience entertained throughout the evening with great music and plenty of humour. One of the highlights was a special Latin-inspired rendition of Happy Birthday for one of our volunteer gardeners celebrating a milestone birthday.

Our sincere thanks also go to Parker Bullen Solicitors for their generous sponsorship of the event for a second consecutive year.

You can read more about the evening and view a selection of John Rose's photographs on our blog:
