Kofi and Steffi, now helping others

Kofi and Steffi, now helping others The life of three very special doggies :) we were born in San Stefanos, Corfu. she did real well. we were protected from the wind and rain.

our mama was a stray who dug a hole in an embankment next to a restaurant to give birth to us. one day an English lady spotted us and that was it! her whole family kept taking a peek and giving mama food. One day though it went a bit scary, our English family were walking down the hill to find somewhere to eat, when they see our mama running up and down the hill frantic. only stopping to scrabble

at a bin on the side of the road. when they came to the bin, they could hear us crying. one of the family lent in the bin and pulled us out and freed us. we were tied up in two plastic bags and dumped. our mama was so happy to see us!! she leaped up and ran circles around the man. then being the good mama she is, she lead down to feed us. to be honest we were just glad of some fresh air and our mama back!! the English family asked anyone one they could for help but were told "there's too many dogs, its what we do" but in the end the restaurant owner came and got us so we could go back in our embankment. this was the start of a quest for our English family!!! they asked a family member of the restaurant owner if they could have us and he said "yes, i don't want to think what will happen if you don't" then a lovely Greek lady gave our English family a number for another English lady who might be able to help! after a phone call, the lady said she could help. the next step was to ask the restaurant if he minded the us and mama being taken, if he was mamas owner he might say no. but no, he said no problem take them all. so the lovely Greek lady came and got a lady from our English family, Hannah, and picked up another lovely English lady, Sally, to take us and mama to another English lady's house, Cheryl, she had agreed to look after us!! we came to the UK in January 2013, and have started our new lives. We had some hurdles to overcome and lots of new experiences to share :) turns out kofi was fearful of new people and dogs, and Steffi will shout at people to protect her sister! We stayed with Hannah, while mama went to Hannah's mums house to live. She soon started to love the good life, the best food how she likes it everyday, lots of people to fuss and in the nice weather, she has a table that she lays on to sun bathe! Us little uns stayed with Hannah. We have two little hoomans, and two doggy siblings! Everything was going fine, but then we moved to a new building to love, which is bigger than the old one! But soon, it became clear that Steffi really didn't like it :( she hated to go in the new garden, and would just curl up on the sofa. Hannah had a very hard choice to make, but she wanted Steffi to be happy... So Steffi now lives with mama!! She is soo very happy there, jumps around, has Lola lab to play with all day! Kofi is till with Hannah, both of us are getting much better manners when in public, we don't shout so much now we are seperate, Steffi makes lots of doggy friends easy and loves people. Kofi is still learning, but is very cuddly once she knows you. Still not keep on the four legged ones on our walks sometimes, but now has a new doggy sister! She came in December 2013! Her name is nala and she comes from Spain... Multicultural in our house! We all get along very nicely, and it was kofi who made the first move to welcome her in! :) that's us up until now, but I'm sure there will be updates very soon! :)
