Salisbury Sea Cadets

We are privileged to have Her Majesty The Princess Royal as Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps, championing our work and the opportunities we provide to young people across the UK. Her Royal Highness is a passionate and active supporter of the organisation, regularly engaging with cadets and volunteers. Earlier this month, she attended our National Sailing Regatta, taking the time to speak directly with one of our cadets and learn more about their experiences within Sea Cadets.

His Majesty the King recognises the impact that the Cadet Forces provide to young people and the communities they serve, do you?

Kicking off the inaugural National Cadet Week in style with a fantastic turnout from the Ship’s Company. Tonight saw young people and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers from the local community come together for learning, leadership and personal development, just as they do twice a week, throughout the year. National Cadet Week may shine a spotlight on cadets, but this commitment to opportunity and achievement happens every week.

Last night was Divisions, and it was fantastic to recognise the hard work of our Cadets with a number of promotions and awards.

A special congratulations to four of our New Entries, who were officially promoted to Cadet, marking an important milestone in their Sea Cadet journey, as well as some other Cadets being promoted to Cadet First Class and Able Cadet.

We were also delighted to present some Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award badges, recognising the commitment, perseverance and achievements of our cadets both within the Unit and the wider community.

Well done to everyone who received a promotion, qualification or award. Keep up the excellent work. 👏⚓

⭐️⭐️National Sailing Regatta 2026⭐️⭐️

Last weekend we were at the Sea Cadet National Sailing Regatta which was held in Southport, Merseyside. Two of our Cadets took part in the Windsurfing, having qualified via the Southern Area Regatta earlier in the year, and three of our Staff were involved with setting up and helping to run the event.

It’s not every day we have a Royal Visit. This added some excitement as Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, who is the Patron and Admiral of the Sea Cadets, took time to speak to Cadets, CFAVs and watch some of the racing on the water.

Congratulations to AC Gracie and LC Tamar who too part in the very competitive Windsurfing Regatta. Results are;
• 5th – LC Tamar - 4.8m windsurfing class
• 8th – AC Gracie - 5.8m windsurfing class

Southern Area were overall winners of the who event, having scored a number of first places and other high finishes. 🏆
