Taking to the air yet again!
Today cadets from 2293(Marlborough)Squadron Air Cadets , 1010 (City of Salisbury) Squadron Air Training Corps and Amesbury met at 1011 Sqn to learn about the safe and legal operation of Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS) aka . . . drones.
After instruction from our amazing volunteers, the cadets all registered with the Civil Aviation Authority and successfully passed the test to earn their FlyerID!
Our cadets were then challenged to a series of indoor flying exercises, designed to familiarise them with the controls and the responsiveness of the drone.
Huge congratulations to everyone who attended today and earned their Blue RPAS Wings!
