Another sunny Repair Café Saturday!

The team managed to repair:

11 electrical items including a CD player, kitchen mixer and vacuum cleaner
2 bikes
10 clothing/fabric items
4 household items including hand tools and shoes
2 pieces of jewellery

We are all about saving items from landfill – but repair skills are not necessary! To make it happen every month, we also need people with skills such as administration, hospitality, customer service, data entry...the list goes on!

Some pictures from our sunny Saturday Repair Café! Our team were kept busy with all sorts of repairs - 39 in total!

1) the beautiful wooden base and electrics on this lamp were fully restored. Plus, a bonus very good boy
2) this iron wasn't pumping steam correctly but now it's ready to tackle another pile
3) a bike MOT where the team were able to get the gears working smoothly again
4) some favourite comfy trousers with their waistband reattached - saved from landfill and ready for lots more wear
5) a record player able to turn on and play again
6) deep in focus trying getting this radio up and running

Thanks to the whole SRC volunteer team and our visitors!
