NEW EVENT!!

We're excited to be offering this new event in Bourne Hill focused on trees - find out more about their ecology, folklore and history.

The event includes a gentle guided walk around some beautiful gardens, the chance to have a go at the Japanese art of hapazome (leaf bashing) and there will be homemade cake to enjoy.

Moth Morning last week was brilliant! No pics of humans, just moths and food πŸ˜…

We're so pleased this is a popular event, with all 20 tickets booked, and everyone enjoying seeing many moths and learning about them. Plus breakfast and a "mindful moment", enjoying a beautiful space in silence for a couple of minutes.

Thanks to our brilliant volunteers Tanay, Emma, Henry and Jo for helping on the day πŸ€—

And thank you Secret Garden volunteers for being happy for us to use this wonderful space πŸ™

We were busy bees at our Nature Detectives family event at Harnham Water Meadows yesterday - making bug mug hotels, fishing rods and playing in the mud kitchen. We'll be back again for another session in October half-term.

29/07/2026

We enjoyed seeing the salmon and trout at Harnham Water Meadows at our family event there this morning. The salmon have forked tails and the trout have square tails.
