📢 REMINDER: Gardens open tomorrow! ✨

Seven stunning gardens will be open to the public in aid of Salisbury Hospice this weekend.

One garden will be open in Sandy Balls, Godshill on 20th June (10am - 1pm), with six more following in Woodford Valley on 21st June. The latter gardens will be open 12pm – 5pm, with refreshments available in Woodford Village Hall, SP4 6NR.

We want to say a huge thank you and well done to Richard Minto, and his beloved 2019 Honda Monkey 125 bike Banana Betty, for raising an incredible £3.332.51 for Salisbury Hospice! 💛

Last month, Minty and Banana Betty travelled 2222.2 miles from Salisbury Hospice to Loch Ness, down through Wales, and then on to the Isle of Wight and back again – all in aid of fundraising for the hospice. Minty took on the challenge in memory of his mum Andrea, who was cared for by the hospice at the end of her life.

Our heartfelt thanks extend to Shaun Learnihan from SJS Motorcycles, who made sure that the bike was ready to go before Minty set off! 🏍️

Up and Down Monkey adventure

Last Friday 12th June, our Jail & Bail fundraiser returned – raising an incredible £9,334 to support hospice care in our community!

From over-the-top arrests to imaginative courtroom defences, the day was characterised by humour, community spirit, and fantastic fundraising fun.

Huge thank you to our brilliant prisoners, their colleagues and supporters, our dedicated volunteers, and everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Richard Catton and his team of walkers have completed week one of their Cambrian Way walk!

Richard, whose wife Carol was cared for by the hospice in her final days, arranged the walk to fundraise for the hospice alongside other families with similar experiences.

🌄 "After an energising full Welsh breakfast at the Coach and Horses, we packed up and drove to Cardiff, where the rain desisted and we took group photos outside the castle entrance.

We then wandered through a park, broadly following the Taff, Richard guiding us carefully through the plethora of footpaths close to a disused canal and onward to cross under and over the motorway.

Things became distinctly more rural after this, with a very varied landscape, of forest and open areas, passing Castell Coch and up to 3 Bears caves. After a golf course (no injuries from random balls) we reached an alternating forested and open ridge, looking towards Caerphilly and passing an old mine, before gradually descending." 🌻

Our fabulous prisoners have been released!

After serving one day at Salisbury Guildhall's 'Jailhouse', the 'infamous five' have all succeeded in raising their bail! 👏

Together, they've raised an incredible £8449.30 for Salisbury Hospice Charity! Every pound raised will help fund compassionate palliative and end of life care across our community.

A huge thank you to our wonderful prisoners, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event such a success. You’ve made a real difference! 🩵
