Richard Catton and his team of walkers have completed week one of their Cambrian Way walk!
Richard, whose wife Carol was cared for by the hospice in her final days, arranged the walk to fundraise for the hospice alongside other families with similar experiences.

π "After an energising full Welsh breakfast at the Coach and Horses, we packed up and drove to Cardiff, where the rain desisted and we took group photos outside the castle entrance.
We then wandered through a park, broadly following the Taff, Richard guiding us carefully through the plethora of footpaths close to a disused canal and onward to cross under and over the motorway.
Things became distinctly more rural after this, with a very varied landscape, of forest and open areas, passing Castell Coch and up to 3 Bears caves. After a golf course (no injuries from random balls) we reached an alternating forested and open ridge, looking towards Caerphilly and passing an old mine, before gradually descending." π»
