So tonight saw the first of AFC Presentations, One that was close to the Chairpersons heart.

She opened the evening with the following speech:

It’s hard to believe tonight really marks the end of an era for me.
Most of you here have been part of this journey since Tommy & Adam first started football at just 10 years old. Over the years, your parents and families have become not only supporters of the club, but genuine friends. It’s rare to see such loyal, devoted support on the sidelines week after week, whatever the weather, and that’s something truly special.

When Adam stepped up with the team in 2022, I don’t think any of us quite realised what the next few years would bring. At home, life certainly hasn’t been quiet — there’s been constant discussions, debates and bickering over how the game went every single weekend!

Over the past two seasons, there have definitely been some lows, but there have been so many highs too. Watching you all transition almost overnight from U18s into men’s football has been incredible to witness, especially going on to win the double in your very first season together. That’s an achievement nobody can ever take away from you.

This season may not have brought the same success on the pitch, but it’s still been full of memories. Bringing new players into the team week after week, watching friendships grow, and yes… still hearing the football debates continue at home… it’s all given me a love for football I never thought I’d have.

I just want you all to know that there will always be a home for you here at Alderbury. Whether it’s popping in for a bacon sandwich, standing on the sidelines supporting the younger teams, or simply coming back for a chat, the door will always be open.

Thank you all for the memories, the laughs, the support, and for being part of such a special journey.

The evening was followed by an emotional tribute from the Manager who presented the following awards:

Tommy Green - Thanks for memories 2022-2026!

Managers Player - Reece Garnett

Spectators Player - Lucas Hendy

Captains Player - Samson Browning

Top goal scorer - Lucas Hendy

Players Player - Reece Garnett

Sports personality - Ollie Savage

Although Adam’s journey has come to an end, AFC will continue to promote a pathway for future generations.

Hugh
