ALABARÉ

ALABARÉ A national charity committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing homes, restoring hearts and empowering minds.

We provide safe accommodation, restore confidence and encourage people to live fulfilled and independent lives. For 30 years Alabaré has been supporting thousands of people in need. We provide homes together with specialist support and encouragement enabling them to gain the independence they need to move on with their lives. Within our homes and services, we work with people who are homeless and

those at risk of becoming homeless, veterans, young people, and people with learning disabilities and mental health issues. We believe that through care, compassion, generosity and respect we can help others overcome barriers and lead happy, fulfilling lives. As part of our long term supported homes across England and Wales we also run homes for veterans and two Wiltshire Development Centres. Furthermore, we provide training courses and a care service for those living in their own accommodation. With a terrific team and a growing body of volunteers who help run our activities, we welcome your support and encouragement whether an individual, business or school.

👀A quick catch-up with our veterans’ service in Wiltshire...

Great to see the guys continuing their polo sessions at Tedworth Park Polo Club – they’re showing massive improvements in their technique and their confidence with the horses 🏇

We’re pleased to work alongside Armed Forces Equine Charity to make the lessons possible.

There’s also been a fantastic donation from the Milford Hall Salisbury, as they’re refurbishing some of their rooms and have donated leather carver chairs and mirrors to clients for their rooms with us 🙏

An amazing opportunity for our young people to get onto the indoor slope at South Wilts Ski Club! ⛷️⛷️⛷️

The activity’s been an incredible way to give our clients a new experience, boost their physical and mental health, and encourage social interaction.

A huge thank you to Nick Jenkins for donating the sessions.

🚨LIMITED PLACES LEFT for the BIG Sleep at St Paul’s Cathedral, to help break the cycle of veterans’ homelessness 🫡

So, we asked some of our participants, including the Collyer Bristow team… where’s the strangest place you’ve ever slept? 💤

Our clients with learning disabilities have had a thrill-seeking, splash-dodging, prize-winning, all-around *amazing* time at Chessington World of Adventures Resort!

The group spent the day at the theme park to help build social skills, confidence, and life experiences, and made some incredible memories along the way. We love to see it! 🥰🎢

Have you seen our posters on the South Western Railway network? 👀

We’re highlighting the links between homelessness and mental health – and how the issues aren’t always visible. People affected can feel unsafe, unsupported, unvalued and unseen. We want those people, through ALABARÉ’s care, to believe that *Now You See Me*.

Help us to break the cycle of hidden homelessness by donating at https://ow.ly/eNFT50Z8SUk today.

Great to see the garden at Unity House in Chippenham being put to good use, with residents embracing the sunshine for an ice cream and some quality time together! 🍦😎

The guys have also been working hard to clear the outdoor space of litter, weeds and debris – a meaningful activity that’s reduced stress, improved mood, and given them a sense of ownership and achievement.

It’s also important to build social connections and provide calming environments for our clients to enjoy, as a way of boosting overall wellbeing. Teamwork making the dream work! 🤝
