Thank you to everyone who came to the DROP IN CAFE today, it was wonderful to see so many people, some new faces and a lovely chatty atmosphere. I am thrilled that we have raised £197 for Cancer Now, thank you for your generosity.
To the helpers and bakers, your contributions are hugely appreciated - Thank you for giving your time to support this lovely community event.

Thank you to everyone who came to the DROP IN CAFE today, it was wonderful to see so many people, some new faces and a lovely chatty atmosphere. I am thrilled that we have raised £197 for Breast Cancer Now, thank you for your generosity.

Hello

It could be another week of hot temperatures , so the air con will be in full use !
This is the final week before the Kitchen is refurbished work is due to commence on 24th AUGUST. THE HALL WIL BE CLOSED FOR THE WEEK, REOPENING ON TUESDAY 1ST SEPT. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause

IPC will be meeting on Monday evening at 7.30pm in the small hall, do come along to hear what the parish council have been up to!

The Drop in cafe is on this Wednesday, I hope as many of you as possible will be able to come along and support this month’s charity which is Breast Cancer Now. It will be part of their fundraising event structured around “Afternoon Tea”, so expect delicious cakes, scones and other yummy bakes to accompany your tea or coffee. Please bring cash to pay for your donations.

Did you know the Main hall and small hall can be hired on an hourly basis (£14)? (its great for dance practice, indoor sports ,craft activities and meetings); we also have tables and chairs that can be hired to cater for larger gatherings. Do get in touch.

The hall is now on Instagram , please have a look and follow us!

We now have some limited availability for new regular activities, if you have ideas, do get in touch . It is always nice to discuss new plans and hopefully we can find a mutually satisfactory time to bring something helpful/sociable/enjoyable to the Hall. 😊

August is remaining hot with another week of high temperatures expected , so the air con will be in full use ! If you need a bit of space to entertain the young ones whether it be during a heatwave or pouring rain (which, fingers crossed , will come soon) do get in touch. The Main hall is great for big groups and indoor games, the small hall is perfect for small groups and craft activities .

There will be a great cooking activity for young people on Monday morning , run by Cookstars, as part of the local council’s holiday program. (There will be a circus workshop in the Porton playpark on Wednesday afternoon)
Lisa’s ballet class is back on Monday evening
Tracie’s Pilates classes are back on Tuesday
The Youth group will be here on Friday 5-6.30pm

August is here ,so there will be some gaps in the weekly activities as holidays kick in, if you need a bit of space to entertain the young ones whether it be during a heatwave or pouring rain, do get in touch. The Main hall is great for big groups and indoor games, the small hall is perfect for small groups and craft activities .

Sadly, Hattie has decided to end her yoga classes on Monday evenings , unfortunately, she never had enough people attending to make it viable . This is a real shame and we will miss her as her classes are lovely but we wish her well and hope she will be back to run her lovely weekend workshops in the future.
As a result of Hattie leaving, Lisa will be starting her Ballet classes at the earlier time of 7pm , although she is away this week.

There are no Pilates classes this week

Hello
Can anyone help replace these double doors?
They separate the entrance porch from the internal corridor and need to be robust, ideally open both ways , click back on the ingress, with toughened glass and metal kick plates on either side.
If you can help or know someone who can, please drop me a message. It would be great to support a small, local independent business 🙏
