A Heads Up Gentlemen Initiative Supporting Fathers Across Our Community

Following requests from our members to facilitate meetings during evening hours — allowing working fathers, step-fathers, male carers, and father figures greater accessibility to peer-support — we are proud to officially relaunch Heads Up DADZ as part of the Heads Up Crew initiative programme.

These dedicated sessions are designed to provide a safe, welcoming and confidential environment for men navigating fatherhood and the everyday pressures that come with it. Whether you're looking to talk openly, build confidence, share experiences, or simply connect with other like-minded dads — this space has been created with you in mind.

📍 New Location:
Bridgewater Foundation Community Hub
40 Chilham Rd, Walkden, M28 3NT
🗓 Every Thursday Evening
🕢 7:30PM – 9:00PM
📅 Starting February 5th

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the Bridgewater Foundation for supporting this programme and helping us deliver these vital sessions within a trusted community hub setting. Their support enables us to continue providing meaningful peer-support opportunities for fathers within Walkden and the wider Salford area.

Through Heads Up DADZ, we aim to: ✅ Promote positive mental health & well-being

✅ Encourage open and honest conversation
✅ Reduce isolation among fathers
✅ Strengthen confidence in parenting roles

This Sunday 22nd February, we are proud to be delivering another positive step forward in supporting men’s mental health through movement, connection, and community 🧠💬

As part of one of Heads Up Crew’s newest initiatives, Heads Up Well-Being has been created to encourage our members — and men aged 18+ — to get up ⬆️ get moving 🚶‍♂️ and take part in something that promotes both physical 🏃‍♂️ and mental well-being in a relaxed, supportive environment 🌳

With the children off school this week 🎒❄️, we are creating a powerful, positive, and exciting opportunity for fathers, stepfathers, male carers, and father figures 👨‍👧‍👦👨‍👦👨‍👧 to come along with their children and enjoy quality time together in a safe, supportive, and uplifting environment 💚🙌

This session is all about:

Community Clean-Up & Grounds Restoration Project 🧹🛠️💪

We are truly grateful to be welcomed by St Paul’s Church 🙏 as we begin a special 4-week community project starting this Saturday, November 1st ⏰🌞
Every week, our team will be on site helping to restore and refresh this beautiful churchyard.

Our Heads Up Crew 💚 will be volunteering a few hours each Saturday 🤝✨ to clean, maintain, and care for the church grounds 🍃🧤🪴 making sure this cherished place remains a peaceful sanctuary for everyone who visits 💒💚

This project isn’t just about picking up leaves 🍂 or lifting soil 🪣…
It’s about giving purpose, finding connection, and boosting men’s mental health 🌱🧠

Many men struggle in silence 😔
But when we work together, talk together, and support each other 🤗 it reminds us that we are never alone 💪❤️

It builds:
• Confidence ⭐
• Routine 📆
• Pride in achievement 🏆
• Stronger friendships 🤝
• A sense of belonging 👥
