🥳🎉One Year of Speak and Belong 🥳🎉

A year ago, Speak and Belong CIC began with a simple but powerful vision: to create a place where people feel welcome, valued and connected. Looking back today, we are incredibly proud of how far we've come—and we know that none of it would have been possible without our amazing community.

Our End of Year Celebration was more than just an event. It was a celebration of every friendship formed, every barrier overcome, every new skill learned, every smile shared and every person who has become part of the Speak and Belong family. ❤️

To our wonderful programme participants – thank you for trusting us, inspiring us and reminding us every day why this work matters.

To our dedicated volunteers – thank you for giving your time, kindness and energy to help others thrive.

To our partners and supporters – thank you for believing in our mission and walking alongside us as we continue to grow.

Together, we've spent this past year creating opportunities, building confidence, strengthening communities and helping people feel that they truly belong. Every conversation, every workshop and every partnership has helped shape who we are today.

We were also delighted to introduce our exciting new programmes launching this September, thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund and Forever Manchester. We can't wait to continue empowering individuals, bringing communities together and creating even more opportunities for people to learn, connect and flourish.

As we celebrate our first birthday, we are reminded that this is only the beginning. The foundations have been laid, relationships have been built, and our vision for the future has never been stronger.

Here's to another year of hope, inclusion, learning and belonging.

Taking care of our physical 💪💪 and mental health 🧠🧘 is so important, and we have really enjoyed running our current health and wellbeing programme for the community so far. 🌿 Pre-Entry & Entry 1 levels.

Dear Participants, Partners and Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to Speak and Belong's End of Year Celebration and 1st Anniversary! 🎉

Over the past year, we have had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people, supporting learners on their journeys, building new friendships and working alongside fantastic partners. None of this would have been possible without your presence and support. Thank you for being part of our journey — we would love to celebrate this special milestone together with you.

📅 Date: Friday, 24 July 2026
🕑 Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
📍 Venue: Community Room 1, Walkden Gateway

Join us for an afternoon of celebration, refreshments, music, fun activities and the opportunity to look back on everything we have achieved together over the past year.

Whether you have attended one of our courses, volunteered with us, partnered with us or supported Speak and Belong in any way, we would be delighted to celebrate with you.

We would love to make this a multicultural celebration! If you would like to share a traditional dish, snack or dessert from your country or culture with everyone, please feel free to bring something along. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our community, learn about each other’s cultures and enjoy delicious food together.

Of course, bringing food is completely optional — we would simply love to have you there and celebrate this special occasion together.

As places are limited, we kindly ask you to confirm your attendance by Tuesday, 21 July 2026, so we can make the necessary arrangements. If you would like to attend, simply reply to this post with “YES” and let us know how many people will be attending.

What a lovely session we had yesterday at Little Hulton Library! 📚✨

With it being quite hot outside, it was absolutely wonderful to welcome you all into the cool library for some indoor fun! ☀️😎

The little ones had an absolute blast exploring all the sensory activities we set up. From splashing around and cooling off in the water play area, to getting creative with the play dough and being mesmerized by the beautiful sensory lights—there was something magical for every child to enjoy! 💧🌟🎨

A massive thank you to all the families who joined us and made it such a special day. We love seeing the little ones learn, play, and grow together.

We are incredibly grateful to be supported by Best Start in Life, Salford CVS, and the Family Hub, whose ongoing support helps make these wonderful community sessions possible. 💛

What a wonderful way to wrap up! 🎨✨

Yesterday marked the final session of our "Salford through our eyes" project, and we celebrated with a beautiful little exhibition showcasing the incredible work of our young artists!

During this project, the children drew inspiration from the famous local artist L.S. Lowry, creating their own brilliant versions of his iconic "Coming from the Mill" artwork. They also used their wonderful imaginations to design and craft their very own houses! 🏡🏭

It was so heartwarming to see their unique and creative perspectives of Salford on display. We are incredibly proud of the effort they poured into their pieces. 🏙️🖼️

A huge thank you to all the families, friends, and community members who came along to support our young talents yesterday. Your encouragement means the world to them! 💛

A massive thank you to everyone who braved the warm weather today to join us for our little art exhibition. Even though it was really hot out there, your enthusiasm and support made it an absolute success! ☀️🔥

We had such a wonderful time showcasing the artwork created by our young artists during the "Salford through our eyes" project. Today was all about describing their amazing pieces and talking together about local houses and our vibrant city of Salford. 🏙️🏡

Thank you so much to all the wonderful participants, our talented youth, and everyone who stopped by to celebrate our community's creativity today. We appreciate you! 💛
