Did you know that the legendary Freedom News send their magazine to the Partisan Office?

Freedom is an independent, radical co-op controlled by its volunteers, Freedom runs Britain’s oldest anarchist press and its largest bookshop. Freedom is the oldest continuous collective of its kind in the world. 🤩

We love to see it and are excited to share our free copies with you. Pop into our office at Bridge 5 Mill next time there's an event on and pick up one to share and read with your nearest and dearest.

Freedom maintains the oldest and largest specialist anarchist bookshop in Britain.
Alongside their own extensive back catalogue of classic works they stock thousands of books, newspapers and pamphlets on everything from history to s*x, philosophy to workers’ struggles, fiction to anti- fascism, as well as the latest magazines, periodicals and newsletters from all the major anarchist and radical groups.

🛌🤸 Dormant for a couple of years, this summer we are starting Partisan’s Book Club back up! Whether you’re a prolific reader looking to discuss your favourites with other members, or someone who is eager to discover and unpick must-reads - we would love to have you!

This Saturday! Come make a zine using drawing and collage and make some copies with the Partisan RISO. We’ll be using beak book folding and a few other just-fold zine techniques to create or little pamphlets. No previous experience needed.

This is a drop-in session and we will wrap up at around 2.45pm with a sharp finish at 3pm.
Free to members, £5 for non-members (just pay on the day via donation to Partisan).

Come along to celebrate the heritage and legacy of the Co-operative movement, as Partisan joins other co-ops and social enterprises from across Greater Manchester.

💖 Saturday 23rd May 2026
🕐️ 10am - 4pm
📍 Broadfield Park Slopes in Rochdale

The event will include market stalls (Partisan will host one of those!), music, family workshops and the unveiling of the Rochdale community banner. The main event takes place outside but there will also be some activities indoors (so best dress for the weather)

The event is delivered as part of the Broadfield Park Slopes Restoration Project - Partisan Collective is taking part because we’re also a co-operative organisation and very proud of it!

Britain First - a far-right, neo-fascist group - have announced that they will return to Manchester. It's really important that we come out and show them that they're not welcome in our city!

Partisan members will be attending the counter-demonstration, led by Resist Britain First, and we urge all of our members and supporters to come out and join us.
