Visit from the Stork Visit from the Stork supports families to have a better quality of life. Registered Charity No1205513

We support parents and families on their journey from pregnancy right through to school age. We have a range of family support services;
- Stork Support - delivering baby essentials to those in need, plus sign posting to relevant agencies for housing, debt, benefits and other family support information.
- B***S and B***S in Bury - Information, education and peer support for parents breastfeeding and wishing to breastfeed.
- That Toy Thing - a toy hire service saving parents money on toys.
- Coming soon - The Stork Store - great deals on baby items and toys to raise money for our free services.

Its October half term next week, can you believe it?!
We've finally got our Messy Play tickets live on Eventbrite, our special half term session will be full of Pumpkins 🎃 and other autumn surprises to get messy with!
🎃40 mins of free play
🎃 snack time
🎃 song time
Suitable for 0-5 years, everything will be taste safe for little ones, although one tray will be set up for those age 2+ and we'll have a specific area for tiny hands under 6 months!

Older siblings welcome as long as you have at least one child under 5.

The most common type of is Miscarriage, which is when a baby dies before 24 weeks of gestation. There is often no explanation for this 💔
The loss of a baby through miscarriage can now be registered through a special certificate to recognise your baby's name.

After 24 weeks a pregnancy loss is called a stillbirth and this happens to at least 1 in every 250 pregnancies. Tommy's is doing amazing research into how we reduce still births, including improving maternity care systems across the UK for all women.

Loss is devastating no matter how early in pregnancy you are.

🤰If you experience any type of bleeding during early pregnancy it is vital you seek emergency support. Call 111 or your nearest Early Pregnancy unit if earlier than 16 weeks, or your midwife team after 16 weeks.

We are hosting our own small ceremony on Thursday 15th October at our hub in Salford.

Emmanuel Centre, 174 Langworthy Road, M6 5PN

Join us for quiet reflection, hot drinks and company as we light candles at 7pm to remember all our babies.
Toys will be available for children. We will be in reception from 6.45-7.15pm 🥰

Our Memory Tree for Baby Loss Awareness week is now in reception at our hub at Emmanuel Centre Langworthy 💓

It will be there until after our Wave of Light Ceremony on Thursday evening, which is being held 6.45-7.30pm at Emmanuel.

You can come and hang a tag using the string provided or take one home 💓

It is estimated that 1 in 4 pregnancies still end in loss either during pregnancy or birth in the UK and almost 50% of people will know someone who has experienced . That's why Baby Loss Awareness week is so important. We don't want anyone to be sitting with their grief with nowhere to go, so each year we join this important campaign .

Baby Loss includes different types of miscarriage, terminations and still births.

Pregnancy and birth is still a dangerous and mighty thing for the human body to go through and there are many reasons why a Pregnancy might end before the baby is ready.

In the UK, many charities research into why baby loss might happen, including Tommy's and Sands - baby loss charity

Join us this week as we share official resources and some of our own posts. We will also be hosting a Wave Of Light Ceremony in Salford on Thursday evening (15th October)
