Have you been thinking about joining a Choir? If so, singing together for pleasure and friendship with Eccles Community Choir might be perfect for you! Come and try for free.
We have experts (Angela, Musical Director and John, accompanist) leading us in the most supportive and friendly way. There are about 50 of us. We sing in three sections- sopranos, altos and tenors/bases.
We meet at 7pm on Tuesday evenings at Holy Cross church hall, Eccles. We are open to all adults; currently our ages range from 30’s to 80’s! We are from diverse backgrounds - mostly from Salford, but a few members are from other areas of Greater Manchester. It helps if you can read music, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t.
You are not required to audition or to sing solo. We are extremely welcoming and mutually supportive and love singing together. We have a wide repertoire of songs ranging from classic to pop; there’s something for everyone!
There’s also an option for singing trips a couple of times a year.
Membership currently costs £45 per term, 3 terms per year, plus small amounts each week for pieces of sheet music, tea coffee etc. you can join anytime. Just come along and give us a try for free; see what you think. We’d love to meet you!
