Week 2 - The members built some tents, some for the very first time! Afterwards, they moved them to the wooded area and tested them out to make sure they were sturdy. Great job everyone! ⛺🌳

We're delighted to share that Salford Parent Carer Forum is expanding!

As our forum continues to grow and support more families across Salford, we're looking for passionate people to join our team and help shape the future of SEND in our city.
We're recruiting for:
💙 Training & Volunteer Co-ordinator (Paid)
💙 Forum Development Officer (Paid)
💙 2 Trustee positions (Volunteer) – Help provide strategic leadership and governance for our growing organisation.

These new roles will help us strengthen our support for parent carers, expand our training and engagement offer, and ensure that the voices of families continue to influence services across education, health and social care.
Whether you're a parent carer, professional, or someone with skills and experience to share, we'd love to hear from you.
Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more inclusive future for children and young people with SEND and their families.

☀️☀️Summer holiday activities☀️☀️

You Can will be running a 4 week woodland life skills and team building programme every Tuesday at the Deans Centre from the 28th July to 18th Aug. Members will learn how to build a tent and a shelter, cook on the fire pit, pack a camping back pack kit as well as climbing the ropes course!
