Find out what's on, how to book onto antenatal courses and other services we offer to local parents. 📢 Calling all parents and parents to be!

Did you know that today 24th September 2025 marks National Fitness Day and this year the theme is ‘Powered By You’. Our Walk & Talk Events are powered by our great volunteers and could not continue without your regular support. They are free to attend and the perfect way to get out and enjoy the fresh air, whilst improving your all-round health and fitness at the same time.

What is an NCT Walk & Talk? It's simple! It's a relaxed, informal gathering where parents, parents-to-be, and carers can meet up for a walk, chat, and connect. It's a fantastic way to:

Get some gentle exercise – perfect for new parents!

Meet other local parents and build your support network.

Share experiences and advice in a relaxed setting.

Boost your mood with fresh air and good company.

Show your little one the world from their buggy or sling!

Why host one? You don't need to be an NCT member or have participated in an NCT antenatal course! Simply choose a date, time, and a buggy-friendly route in your local area, and invite others to join you. It's a wonderful way to bring your community together and help combat loneliness that can sometimes affect new parents.

NCT are looking for Walk & Talk Volunteers to set up and run a Walk & Talk group in the Bolton & North West Manchester area.

Volunteers will be supported every step of the way by our dedicated Volunteering Team at NCT to help launch their Walk & Talk group.

This is a flexible opportunity and volunteers can get involved with as little as 2 hours per week at a day and time that suits you.

Are you passionate about social media and want to use your skills to support a great cause?

We're looking for a dedicated Social Media Volunteer to help us grow our online community and engage with parents in our quieter areas.

What you'll do:

Develop and execute a social media strategy: Help us increase engagement, boost followers/likes, and create a dynamic content calendar.

Create engaging content: Produce fresh and exciting content for Facebook and Instagram to captivate our audience.

Engage with our community: Interact with followers, encourage discussions, and foster a sense of belonging.

Manage our social media channels: Keep our platforms updated and visually appealing.
