SAYO/SPARKY is a community project working within the Ordsall/Langworthy & Claremont / Weaste areas of Salford.
The project positively engages with young people aged between 4-16 years. It delivers after school and school holiday provision. Our activities are funded through various partners / Salford Youth Alliance and The Big Lottery. SAYO (Sports, Arts, Youth in Ordsall) SPARKY (Sports, Parks, Arts, Recreation, Kids and Youth)
We are passionate about young people taking part in sport and leisure activity and have engaged with more than 1100 local young people and registered over 8400 attendances at our community activity sessions this year. The project has been running for 15 years, starting in it’s our community hub ‘Chimney Pots’ on Liverpool Street, Salford. We are now based in Clarendon Leisure Centre and deliver activities throughout the area.
