It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear friend, volunteer and member, Sheila Sedgwick, aged 82, from Irlam.

Sheila passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Thursday 30th July 2026.

Sheila joined Irlam & Cadishead Healthy Heart Club in 2015 and attended regularly with her friends. She took part in many of our group lunches and day trips, and played a valued role in helping to organise numerous social events and parties over the years. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and gentle humour made her a much loved and well-known member of our community, and she will be deeply missed by all her friends.

Sheila’s funeral will take place on Monday 17th August, 12 noon, at Peel Green Crematorium. The wake will follow at The Club House, Barton Airport.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Sheila’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Notice: Winton Healthy Heart Club will NOT be opening on Tuesday 14th July due to the Llandudno trip taking place and the very low numbers that would have been attending. Open as usual on 21st July.

Wheels for All provides inclusive cycling opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, with a range of adapted cycles available so everyone can enjoy the benefits of cycling in a safe and supportive environment.

They currently offer:

Friday Inclusive Sessions (10:00am–12:00pm) – £6 per participant, with carers cycling free.

Saturday Family Sessions (10:00am–12:00pm, every other Saturday) – £12 per family or £6 per individual participant.

All sessions take place at:
Cleavley Athletics Track
Blantyre Street
Winton, Eccles
Greater Manchester
M30 8HY
