Huge congratulations to our incredible runners who took on the Great Manchester Run on Sunday! 🏃‍♀️

It was inspiring to see so many people rise to the challenge, and we’re so proud of every single one of you. Together, our team smashed the 10K and Half Marathon, raising more than £13,600 to support services across the 🎉

A special donation made in memory of Anne Marie Crabtree 💙

We are incredibly grateful to the family and friends of Anne Marie Crabtree for the generous £650 donation given in her memory following the funeral collection. This thoughtful gift will help make a real difference to our Critical Care Unit at Salford Royal Hospital.

The family shared a lovely message, along with a photo of Anne Marie with one of our wonderful nurses who supported their family, Maricel: “Thank you from my dad, Spencer Crabtree, who spent 100 days on the ICU ward. A big thank you to the staff who cared for him and looked after my mum during his stay. Sadly, mum passed suddenly in December 2024. The care she received during her short time on the unit was much appreciated. Thank you from all the family.”

We are honoured to recognise this donation and remember Anne Marie with gratitude. Thank you so much 💙

A wonderful morning last week with our friends from RHS - Royal Horticultural Society, RHS Garden Bridgewater, J.Parker’s and GARDENA planting up new borders at Royal Oldham Hospital, bringing life to another area of our site for colleagues over summer 🪴🪏🌱🌷 We're so grateful for their support 💙

Enhancing our environments 🩵 Take a look at our newly installed sensory wall toys at our Children's PANDA Unit at Salford Royal Hospital 🦒🐴🐻

“The new sensory wall toys immediately help to soften the clinical environment, making it feel more welcoming and less intimidating for our patients. In the waiting room, they provide a much needed distraction, helping children feel calmer and more relaxed while they wait for appointments or procedures."

On the ward itself, they’re proving incredibly popular — patients are naturally drawn to them and are already enjoying playing with them, which supports emotional wellbeing and helps reduce anxiety during what can be a very stressful time.” - Laura, Play Specialist, Panda Unit
