We do this through education, promotion and engagement.

What to do if you look after someone with dementia and they have a decreased appetite? Here are some tips:

1. Prepare their favourite foods. It is more about food for energy rather than variety.

2. Increase physical activity where safe and possible. This often increases appetite.

3. Plan the day around several small meals rather than 3 larger ones as this may be more manageable for them.
