The Cyril Flint Befrienders Scheme was born out of the story of Cyril Flint; an elderly Sale resident who after the passing of his wife, sadly spent the next 23 Christmas's all by himself. With social isolation and loneliness an ever present problem in our society, The Cyril Flint Befrienders, aim to tackle these issues through an informal befriending service, linking up trained volunteers with pe

ople in their local community and since it's inception has continued to grow throughout all of Manchester. Cyril Flint Befrienders not only address these difficult issues of exclusion, but make a genuine difference to the lives of those they visit.
