Honouring Heritage, Inspiring the Future: A Powerful Black History Month Celebration in Trafford

On October 11, 2025, the Sale Moor Community Centre buzzed with energy as we gathered to honour the culture, achievements, and enduring journey of the Black community.

Organized by Councillor Babar, in collaboration with Mike Kane MP's office, the event was a huge success, hosting Mike Kane MP, Trafford Mayor Cllr Jan Brophy, Council Leader Cllr Tom Ross, and other distinguished guests including Deputy Lieutenants Prof. Faye Ruddock and Charles Odoi-Kwaku.

The evening celebrated the outstanding efforts of more than 15 local organizations, each honored with a certificate of recognition, including Three Meem Foundation for its vital contributions to the community.

Black History Month is a crucial time for reflection and action toward equality and inclusion. Thank you to everyone who joined this essential celebration!
