🐟 PROOF THAT NATURE CAN RECOVER! 🌊
Atlantic bluefin tuna are making an incredible comeback in our South West waters, and it's a conservation success story worth celebrating!
Once almost lost from British waters, these magnificent fish are returning in significant numbers, with the BBC highlighting their recovery in a recent report from WWF.
So why is this important to Devon Young Fishers?
Because understanding and protecting our marine environment is at the heart of what we teach.
From sustainable fishing practices to respecting marine wildlife, we want our young fishers to understand that the future of fishing depends on healthy, thriving seas.
We're fortunate to work regularly with Salcombe Angling- Anglo Dawn and the crew who also hold a permit for bluefin tuna catch-and-release fishing.
Seeing these extraordinary fish return to our local waters is a powerful reminder of what conservation and responsible fisheries management can achieve.
