ALL ABOARD THE GHOST TRAIN!

The Ghost Train is fast approaching - opening night is Thursday 30th April.

The Ghost Train is a comedy thriller written by Arnold Ridley, better known as Private Godfrey in Dad’s Army. The play is set in the waiting room of an isolated railway station in Cornwall during the 1920s. A group of mismatched rail passengers find themselves stranded having missed the last connection of the night. The station master warns them of a ghostly train that is said to haunt the line, a spectral remnant of a tragic accident that occurred years earlier, which brings death to anyone who sees it. Despite the eerie warnings, the passengers decide to stay, leading to a night filled with tension, supernatural occurrences, and escalating drama.

Next Reading of The Ghost Train

As not everyone who has said they would like to read for a part was able to make it last night, we will be looking at The Ghost Train again next Tuesday (21st October), 7.30pm at the Town Hall as usual.

Actors Needed for 'The Ghost Train'!

We'll be continuing our read-through of the 'The Ghost Train' next Tuesday (21st October). We haven't started casting/auditions as yet, so if you are interested in reading for a part, there's still time.

Show dates are 30th April to 2nd May next year.

NEXT SHOW

As we haven't been able to recruit enough new members to stage a full pantomime, requiring a large cast plus chorus, next year, we have decided to put on a play instead.

We will be performing 'The Ghost Train' by Arnold Ridley at the Old Town Hall from 30th April to 2nd May next year. Our first read-through of the script will be on Tuesday 14th October at the Town Hall at 7.30pm. We still have opportunities for more actors, so if you are interested in joining us, please come along.

Don't forget the second read-through of 'Mother Goose' is tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd September, at 7.30pm in the Old Town Hall (upstairs in the Mayor's Parlour this time).

New members are most welcome as we still need more performers to cast this show. If you don't fancy reading for a principal role, there are plenty of opportunities for cameo roles and chorus. Potential backstage helpers are also welcome to come along and meet us.
