The Knut at St.Just Plen An Gwari The Knut is a new building (opened May 2014), a backstage facility for events & theatre at the Plen-An-Gwari in St. Just, West Cornwall.

The Knut is a backstage facility for events and theatre in the Plen-an-Gwari, which is an ancient amphitheatre in the heart of the town on St. Just in West Cornwall UK. We also have a historical archive focused around the ancient and special Plen-an-Gwari, and host workshops for schools etc. The Knut is owned and managed by St Just & District Trust CIO Charity registered in England; No: 1168852

We're really sorry to share the news of the passing of Jeremy Cole earlier this month. Jeremy was such an amazing creative presence in our 2021 ordinalia crew- superb performer, amazing chef; a brilliant member of he team. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends, including many who were also such a key part of the Ordinalia. He will be greatly missed.

The Knut Writing group are performing in the beautiful Plen an Gwari on Earth Day on 26th April . Come and see us at 12.30pm for the epic 'Ancient Lights' poem complete with real dragons and unicorns. We are on again at 2pm with more delights.
Then a joyous community fundraiser Nos Lowen in the evening
