We are very saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Nigel Ogden. Nigel has supported us from day one and was the first organist to appear in concert and often visited for a private play when the Christie was still in its early stages of completion. His enthusiasm was a real tonic and we thank him dearly for this.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Just to say, on the behalf of the team, thank you so much all those who braved the dreadful weather to enjoy our concert today. We had 70 in attendance, what an amazing turnout!

We'd also like to thank Phil Kelsall for performing for us and we look forward welcoming him back.

The team at Lowe House hopes everyone got home safely - we know some had travelled a fair distance and we really do appreciate your determination and support.

Last, but not least, thank you to the ladies from the congregation who served the refreshments, the busiest interval we've had yet!

For those arriving early for the concert on Saturday, if you're looking for a bite to eat we highly recommend Cassandra's, a traditional cafe in St Mary's Shopping Arcade located just behind St Helens Parish Church. We often call in for breakfast or lunch on our visits to Lowe House.
