Thank you to John from 15th St Helens St Andrews Scout Group for coming and helping to teach the explorers the Back Splice and how to look after natural rope. This is a key skill needed for pioneering and the explorers worked hard to practice it. This has concluded our foundation work on pioneering, well done to Josh, Ben and Rambo who have earned their Pioneering badge BRAVO ⚜️🪢

Last weekend at Trailblazers winter camp the explorers got stuck in and boxed off their pioneering badges we have been working hard on over the last few weeks. This included a demonstration of different knots and their applications as well as working together to construct a ‘Monkey bridge’. This was a culmination of weeks of work and learning including activities such as catapults, model bridge making and different types of knot work. ⚜️🪢

Remembrance Sunday 2024

During the World Wars, tens of thousands of Scouts served in various ways – watching the coasts, delivering messages, administering first aid and sometimes, even fighting at the frontline.

Today, apart from participating in events, ceremonies and activities held in memory of the fallen, they continue to invest time and effort in building and promoting a culture of peace and dialogue in their communities. ⚜️
