Evening everyone 👋

I hope you're all doing well and your kids are well and truly set in their new years/schools (or even for some of our older kids, college/adult life!)

Some of you may follow Martin and Bex or The Smithy Family, but for those of you who don't, they've got recently had issues with the SEND system and in schools, and they want to do something about it, especially for everyone else facing issues.

Starting next week, Martin and Nick are starting the 3-peak challenge, in hope of raising money for charity Contact. Even if it's just a follow, or a share for awareness (or if you want to donate), it all counts.

We wish Martin and Nick all the best in their challenge 🙌

I find it quite astonishing that Trump has come out with the statement he did, with the "guidance" from Robert F Kennedy. To state that autism is caused by pregnant mothers taking painkillers is absolute stupidity, it's absolute nonsense.

Don't listen to the misinformation, don't listen to the lies, and if you're one that is currently carrying, DO NOT put yourself through pain because of what they have said.

Every autistic child has more brain cells than these idiots combined... 🧩

It's also important to remember that even if you don't get what you wanted, you can still go far and achieve your aims for the future 💫

Good Morning everyone 😊

I know it's been a while and I hope everyone is doing OK 😊

I just wanted to personally wish all of our former Smarties kids all the very best on their next adventure into their next year's in school as transition weeks kicks off whether that's a move up in primary school/secondary school or their move into secondary school 🏫🎒

And just like that, we've closed our doors for the final time 😥

Thank you as always to everyone who came to see us off for the final time ❤️ we also want to extend our thanks to everyone who has been part of the Smarties tree from it's founding Little Smarties to it's current Smarties SEND Play and Support Group over the last 11 years ❤️

It has truly been a pleasure helping and seeing your little ones grow and nurture through the years whether we've known you for only a short while, a couple of years or longer!

We will be keeping our group Smarties - SEND Play & Support Group and this page open for those of you who need help and support whether it be through us, other parents/carers or other professionals or businesses.

And finally, we want to thank Newton Boys and Girls Club, Crownway Community Centre, St Helens Sea Cadets and also Parr Darby and Joan Club for allowing us to rent your buildings through the years.

Please all of you take care of yourselves and stay safe and do reach out to us if you need anything at all ❤️

****IMPORTANT NOTICE****

It is with the heaviest of hearts, despite trying again after Christmas, that next Saturday (19th April) will mark the closure of Smarties SEND Play and Support Group. This isn't a decision we have made lightly, and is out of our control, we can only apologise to all of you and hope you find other provisions 💔

We will mark our final event as an Easter craft session with it being the day before Easter Sunday, the event will go up soon.

I know this isn't what you guys wanted to hear, again, we are sorry for this, but let's see us off for one final time 🧩

There is plenty of t-shirts that can be obtained from supermarkets so this is your chance!!
