APES CIC is temporarily relocating to a nearby residential property while continuing the search for a permanent premises. During this interim period, animal surrenders and pet care clinic services will operate by appointment only, with no walk-in clinic availability.

Marmosets are intelligent, highly social primates with complex needs that go far beyond what most people expect. They require significant space, constant enrichment, specialist diets, and daily interaction to prevent stress, illness, and behavioural problems.

These are not low maintenance animals. Their welfare depends on carefully designed environments and lifelong commitment.

At APES, we care for primates and many other animals including snakes, lizards, spiders, rabbits, and other small animals who have often suffered due to misunderstanding of their needs. Education is key to protecting them.

🐹 Meet Our Newest Arrivals – A Group of Adorable Guinea Pigs! 🐾
We’re thrilled to welcome the newest members of the APES Shelter family – a group of sweet, squeaky guinea pigs! 🥰 These little ones seem to be in good health so far, but we’ll be carrying out some routine health checks to make sure they’re fully ready before we begin searching for their forever homes. 🏡

Good Morning Everyone!

It has been a beautiful Christmas and New years, seeing some of our longest residents find their new forever homes! We will miss Alska, Venom and Carnage dearly but wish them and their new family the best 💚

We still have plenty more animals ready to be adopted into their forever homes too 🏠🐍🐇

Boas, Corn Snakes, Royals, Hognoses, Bearded Dragons and Rabbits. We also have Invertebrates waiting for forever homes too, a variety of Scorpions and Tarantulas 🕷️🦂

🌟 Adoption Update from APES Shelter & Rescue! 🌟

This month, THREE of our beautiful rescues have found their forever homes! 🏡🐾 We are over the moon for all of them, but one in particular has captured our hearts… 💛

After being with us for so long, our beloved Leopard Gecko, Alska, has finally found their perfect family! 🦎💕 Alska has been one of our longest staying residents, and seeing them settle into their forever home has been nothing short of magical.

Thank you to all of our supporters who make these happy endings possible. Together, we are changing lives – one rescue at a time! 🌍💕
