📣 We're back for the 2nd and final day of the St Davids Open Gardens weekend today, Sunday 14th June, and it's all kicking off from 10am!

💚 Tickets on sale from the Eco Dewi stall on Cross Square and the 21 gardens will be open until 4pm. The forecast looks amazing, so don't miss this chance to explore a number of stunning private gardens around St Davids City.

An adult 1 day ticket is only £6, and £3 for a child, and all profits go towards local good causes. Please do spread the word🌻

Wow, what an amazing Day 1 of St Davids OPen Gardens Wekeend 2026! The sun was shining, the market was buzzing, the gardens were looking FANTASTIC and loads of people came out to support our event. And we’re back for Day 2 tomorrow!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us today and a quick shout out to A&E Adventures - Event Decor Design and Build for the flags at Cross Square giving a great festival vibe.

🥳 Today is the day, wahoo!🌻 St Davids Open Gardens Weekend starts at 10am with 24 brilliant gardens open for ticket holders around St Davids City and a few a short drive.

🍷🫖 There's a market on Cross Square in St Davids too plus loads of other great activities in some of the gardens. And this is the last weekend of the St Davids Peninsula Great Big Green Week 💚

🎟 Pick up your tickets from the Eco Dewi stall on Cross Square or nip into the The Really Wild Emporium shop if you fancy a browse in there too.

Not only are there 24 gardens opening TOMORROW and taking part in this year's St Davids Open Gardens Weekend but there is a market on in Cross Square on both Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June thanks to St Davids City Council.

You'll be able to see mature, well aged gardens or ones which are newer and a work in progress. There's one with all beautiful raised beds and then others which are wilder and more traditional. And then loads in between! A great chance to explore private gardens, be inspired with garden ideas, and learn how to make your garden a little better for wildlife.

Gardens will be open from 10am - 4pm, on Saturday and Sunday, with one very special garden open from 4pm - 8pm on Saturday evening. 🌸 Don't forget 3 are just outside of the city, so don't miss them!

📢 Don't forget that out of the 24 gardens open this year, 3 gardens just a short drive to the north of the city.

🪻🌷Two are impressive private gardens of an acre or more both with seating. One is doing a selection of home made cakes and teas served in the garden room whilst the other has a choice of outdoor and indoor seating dotted around their creatively designed, wildlife friendly gardens.

🦋🐝 And then the 3rd is the brilliant who have an impressive range of outdoors areas specifically designed with nature first. And they have the great in case you need lunch, coffee or snack! With your Open Gardens ticket you get entry to the gardens and trails of the Bug Farm.

🌊🌳 Oh and then if you are around Saturday evening, one really special coastal garden is open in Caerbwdi just from 5-8pm. Parking is in the National Trust car park as you turn off the main road.

So, it's not just all about the city and there is so much to visit this weekend! So, why not make a weekend of it to ensure you get plenty of time in each garden and to enjoy the local area. An adult weekend ticket is only £10 and all profits go towards local good causes.

When you visit the St Davids Open Gardens this weekend, please think about supporting our the fab local independent businesses whilst in the city. 🩷

As well as having amazing gardens, St Davids has a fantastic range of cafes, restaurants and also shops.

☕🍰🍕🥞🥯🥙🫖🍺 So, why not grab a coffee or breakfast before you go around the gardens. Then plenty of places for a light or bigger lunch. Great ice cream in the city and some great shops for treats to take home. And then finish the day with dinner or a takeaway at a range of places. 🍷🍸🍪🍩🌭🍟🧋🥪

And of course range of independent art galleries, shops and other businesses too!

How did it all begin?

Well it was back in 2017 when the brilliant Julia came up with the idea!

“The idea for Open Gardens Weekends in St Davids began quite simply in 2017 with a shared sense of curiosity and desire to celebrate the creativity of local gardeners. We wondered whether residents might enjoy opening up their private garden spaces to visitors, offering a rare glimpse into the hidden, personal worlds that lie behind walls, hedges and cottage facades. We felt that such an event could bring people together in a relaxed and enjoyable way, while also highlighting the beauty and individuality of the City’s gardens and our unique peninsula environment."
