Rotary Club of St Columb Supporting communities while raising funds for local, national and international charities

25/02/2026

Christmas 2025 and our Christmas deliveries and Santas Grotto etc seem a very long time ago. It’s been made worse by the appalling weather we’ve had to endure ever since. ☔️🌧️

We all deal with it differently; some will get a flight to the sun, others will join a gym with great resolve. Unfortunately it’s still wet and grey outside and the appeal of the gym is fading fast 🥴

Have you ever thought about volunteering to help others whilst also boosting your own well being and enjoyment? Rotary is a worldwide organisation open to everyone, that combines fellowship and fun whilst providing help within our community.

St Columb Rotary club meet twice a month, on a Tuesday evening at the Halfway House pub on the Wadebridge Road, where we organise and plan our charity work. We also have a meal, a beer or two and probably a spoof as well. It’s a lighthearted, fun evening and our events help others in our community either directly or by raising funds for them.

If you are interested in finding out more about us or even joining us on a Tuesday evening to see what we are all about, drop us a message below and we’ll take it from there.

Now get back to the gym….. 😂

Well that was a very soggy Santa delivery around St Columb last night! ☔️
However, all the presents were delivered, there were lots of smiling faces and happy children, so a job well done. Thank you to the Elves who made it all possible.
Santa is hoping for better weather when we visit St Eval on Friday 🤞
Merry Christmas to everyone from the Rotary Club of St Columb

* SANTAS PRESENT DELIVERY IN ST COLUMB *

Today is the last day to drop off your wrapped, named and addressed presents to be delivered by Santa and his merry Elf helpers.
Santa and the elves will be travelling in our brightly lit sleigh, but you’ll probably hear our Christmas music before you see the lights of our reindeer heading up your street.

Looking forward to seeing you all at my grotto tonight🎄 Enjoy the Christmas Lights switch on

On Friday 21st November The Rotary Club of St Columb held another of their successful quiz nights at the Columba Centre, to raise funds for St Columb Youth Club, Prostate Cancer UK and other local charities.
The room was packed with enthusiastic teams, both new and old. There was a buzz of excitement throughout the evening with lots of banter and laughing, and of course a couple of controversial questions to add to the atmosphere.
The halftime raffle and auction raised over £600 whilst we enjoyed a pasty supper with Cornish cream scones.
The winning team was ‘Hazels Angels’, who just pipped ‘Willy’s Mob’ to the post. They can be seen receiving their prizes from Rotary president Alex Shapland. The legend that is Dave Holloway, returned his prize to to be auctioned and raise even more funds. Thanks Dave 👍
Finally, we all applauded ‘More Suckers’ the team that finished last and were awarded their wooden spoons.
The total profit for the event was £1,124. A great result. Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a fun and successful event and thank you to all our sponsors for their generosity.
Keep your eyes peeled on our page for details of our upcoming Christmas events. Santa has promised he will be attending🎅🎄
