Meet Artem, a Ukrainian refugee in Cornwall under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. With his wife and three young children, he embarked on a new chapter of life, leaving behind his teaching career in computing. 🇺🇦➡️🇬🇧

Artem stumbled upon our People Hub Project at the One and All Bank in St Austell, run by CN4C. He joined our Parent Power Project with hopes of improving his English and finding employment. 💼📚

However, the challenge was daunting, especially trying to tackle it all from his phone. Despite enrolling in a part-time ESOL course, Artem needed more to elevate his learning. That's when our project stepped in and provided him with a laptop. 💻

With this essential tool, Artem delved into online English courses and job hunting. With guidance from his caseworker, he applied for a Digital Coach position in the voluntary sector. 🤝

And guess what? Artem nailed it! 🎉 He secured full-time employment, all thanks to his perseverance and the support he received. His words resonate deeply: "This wonderful project helped me to integrate into the community faster, gain access to education, support and necessary equipment, such as a laptop. I am grateful for the help I have received, which allowed me to access a laptop, English language courses and finally secure a full-time job!"

Artem, you're an inspiration to us all! 🌟

If you or someone you know could benefit from our Parent Power Project, don't hesitate to reach out. Contact us at 01209 310610 or email [email protected].

Let's make more success stories together! 💪
