🚪 Doors open from 9:30am – 1pm Monday to Friday.

❤️ Well, what can we say? What a wonderful afternoon it was! 🥰

❤️ We were absolutely delighted to welcome so many of you to the relaunch of The Gathering Place Lunch Club. Seeing both familiar and new faces come together made the event truly special, and we are incredibly grateful for the fantastic support shown by our community.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your delicious two-course meal, the warm atmosphere, and the opportunity to spend time with friends old and new.

❤️ We would also like to thank everyone who took the time to share their feedback with us. Your comments, ideas, and suggestions are invaluable, and we will carefully consider them as we continue to develop and improve the Lunch Club for future events.

This week, we celebrate Volunteer Week, and we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for each and every volunteer at The Gathering Place.

Your kindness, dedication, and generosity of time make a real difference in the lives of so many people. Whether you're serving behind the scenes or directly supporting our community, your contribution helps make The Gathering Place the welcoming and supportive place it is today.

We are also extremely lucky to have a 2026 Community Awards finalist in our midst.
Dave is a finalist for the Bryan Foley Award in recognition of his outstanding gardening efforts. This category is sponsored by Barry Town Council.

🌟 Dave Nobbs – The Bridge Between Barry & The Gathering Place ✨

His hard work and dedication have helped create a welcoming environment for everyone who visits.

We wish Dave the very best of luck for the forthcoming presentation evening, which is being held this Friday, 5th June, at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry.

If you'd like to meet Dave in person, you can also find him at our weekly Community Café, on a Wednesday where he will no doubt be happy to sign autographs! 🌴😉
