We're delighted to be a part of The Zombies Begin Here festival!

The Zombies are a key part of our history with the band having their first ever rehearsal at The Pioneer several years ago, and more recently when we hosted a listening party for the re release of Odessey and Oracle last year.

We'll be hosting a 60s themed costume party on the Friday with music and decorations to match. So dig out your A-line dresses and the velvet suits and come and join the party 🎉

Kaspar has been obsessed by the blues and vintage music since he was 12, half a lifetime ago. He has been described as a 100 year old soul in the body of a 25 year old as he continues to baffle people with a raw sound in the 2020's.

A family friend gave him his first guitar on the condition he’d learn how to play it. At 12 he discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Pride and Joy on Guitar Hero and quickly realised this was the blues. This would send him on a path of education and revelation.

Kaspar went to New Orleans to celebrate turning 18 where he performed in B.B. Kings Blues Club (and was discovered by producer Harold Marcho music producer). Harold invited Kaspar back to the States to record his first single Sailing.

When he isn't gigging, Kaspar is producer and engineer at Juke Joint In The Woods, a blues studio and label located in rural Buckinghamshire.

Born in the stillness of lockdown and sharpened in the buzz of London’s small venues, Happy Neighbours have carved out a sound that’s equal parts nostalgia and next wave. Made up of lead singer Harry, bassist Jack, drummer Henry, and guitarist Harry, the four-piece are taking cues from Blur, The La’s and Oasis, then kicking it forward with the urgency of a band that knows where it's going. Their EP Southbank to Battersea captures that momentum: melodic, confident, and unmistakably current.

Steve Warner is a singer songwriter and folk musician based in the leafy Hertfordshire village of Kimpton. Writing, arranging and performing his own songs locally in folkclubs, open mics, pubs, winebars, coffee shops an

We're delighted to see that the wonderful Odyssey cinema are showing Still Burning, a documentary explaining the history of an underground genre that originated in the working class areas of the north over six decades ago and continues to bring people of all cultures and class together today ⏺️

Following an impressive debut last year the Herts Drum Collective return for 2026!

Come and join your local drumming community for a day of workshops and performance. Featuring 4 of Hertfordshire’s top drumming professionals, the day will be packed with educational hands-on workshops as well as performance and Q&A time.

Designed to educate and socialise; bringing together drummers of all levels and backgrounds, sharing knowledge and picking up some chops along the way.

The small print: Participation is the name of the game - where possible, ticket holders are encouraged to bring a drum practice pad and a stand to mount the pad *(a snare drum stand for example). This is not essential - the workshops can be observed if you decide not to participate. Ticket holders should also bring a packed lunch - there is a bar at the venue catering for refreshments throughout the day, but not food. There are local shops within a mile of the venue.

What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

A massive thanks to everyone who came along, and everyone who helped make the event such a huge success. Big shout outs to Subline Events for providing the epic sound system, the amazing line up of DJs, all the food vendors, Highfield Farm for the straw bales, and all the staff and security on the day and in the build up who worked so hard to keep everything running smoothly. It was also great to have so many local suppliers, traders and DJs, it really helps keep the community spirit alive!
