📣 We’ve Merged!

We are pleased to announce that, as of today – 1 April 2026 – Mind in Mid Herts has merged into Hertfordshire Mind Network, and there is now one countywide Mind organisation in Hertfordshire: Hertfordshire Mind Network.

By coming together, we’re strengthening mental health support across Hertfordshire - making services more consistent, easier to access, and better coordinated for our local communities. 💙
All our services will continue as normal, with no changes to the support you receive.

Later this year, we’ll be introducing our new shared identity: Hertfordshire Mind. We’ll share updates as this develops.

Thank you for your continued support as we take this important step forward together.

These vulnerable photos have been shared by someone who attended our Mind Over Matter Decluttering Support Group, to help raise awareness of how complex and personal clutter can be. Sharing this online takes huge courage, and we’re so grateful to them for helping others to feel less alone.

Please only share kind and caring comments.

The mess people see is often only the surface. Behind it, there is always a story that deserves understanding, care and no judgement.

Clutter isn’t about laziness or a lack of organisation. It can be connected to difficult experiences, overwhelming emotions, grief, anxiety, trauma, or simply a time in life when things felt too much to manage. Over time, belongings can also start to represent comfort, safety, memories, or a way of coping when life feels uncertain.

This is why we support people through our Mind Over Matter Decluttering Support Group: our group offers a safe and supportive space where people can talk openly about the emotional side of clutter, learn practical strategies, and take small, manageable steps forward alongside others who understand.

If you recognise yourself in these photos, or know someone who may be struggling in a similar way, please know that support is available and you don’t have to face it alone. Our next group starts on Wednesday 1st April in Stevenage.

Sleep struggles are common, especially when life feels overwhelming but small changes can make a difference, here's 5 tips to help:

1. Create a wind-down routine
Signal to your mind that the day is ending, dim the lights, step away from screens and choose something calming.

2. Keep a regular sleep schedule
Going to bed and waking up at similar times helps your body find its natural rhythm.

3. Make your space restful
Cool, dark and quiet environments support deeper sleep.

4. Park your worries
If your thoughts are racing, try writing them down before bed so they’re not circling in your mind. If you need help, please reach out.

5. Be kind to yourself
A difficult night doesn’t mean failure. Rest when you can and avoid putting pressure on yourself.💙
