North Close play area update:
Phase 1 of the planned improvements are now complete.
A huge thank you to children from Killigrew School and everyone in the community who contributed to the consultation. Your feedback has directly shaped the new design. Thank you.
Phase 2 will include the new cycle skills track and we will keep you informed when the next stage will be completed.

Lost property : we have 2 distinctive silver rings handed in to the community centre office. Found out on the field in the park.

Also, a car key fob with several door keys.

And a pair of designer prescription sunglasses.

Exciting News!
Work to install brand-new play equipment at North Close Play Area will begin on 24 July.
Please note: the play area will be closed during installation with the work due to finish by the end of the first week of August, weather permitting.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the consultations, your feedback has directly shaped the new design.

We get a lot of lost property handed in here at Greenwood Park but this has got us baffled. Recovered from the bushes in the top carpark. Would love to get back to its owner if anyone recognises it.

🌞 Hot Food Vendors Wanted - SummerFest 2026 🌞
We're looking for one or two more hot food vendors to join us at SummerFest, our free community live music event at Greenwood Park on 30 August.
With around 1,000 visitors expected, it's a great opportunity to showcase your food and be part of a friendly, family-focused community event.

⚠️ Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) Warning ⚠️
Please be aware that OPM caterpillars are present on some of our local oak trees. Their hairs can cause rashes, eye irritation, breathing problems and allergic reactions in people & dogs..

Please do not touch the caterpillars or their nests, keep children and dogs away, and do not try to remove nests yourself.

If you spot a nest on our land in any of the parks & woods managed by us in Chiswell Green, Park Street & Bricket Wood, keep your distance and report the location to us using a what3words location.
Many thanks for your assistance in helping us, so we can treat the nests quickly and safely.
