It has been brought to our attention that there have been incidents of large amounts of raw meat being dumped in the bins near Debden Village Hall and Shop. This has been happening regularly over the past two weeks, and is classified as fly-tipping, and therefore an illegal offence. It is a hazzard to human health. The police and environmental services have been notified and visited the site.

The site is adjacent to the recreation ground and near the play area and car park. The village hall is used daily and the PO is open 4 days a week.

Fly-tipping raw meat carries severe penalties in the UK, with on-the-spot Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) reaching up to £5,000. If prosecuted in court, court fines and penalties are considerably higher.

Debden Parish Council request that the offender in question disposes of their waste in the correct manner.

If you see anything suspicion or have had a similar problem in your area please notify the police and UDC environmental services.
