5th Ryde Scout Group have spaces available for Beavers, Cubs & Scouts.

We have lots of fun, making friends, building confidence and learning life long skills.

We meet on the following evenings -
Beavers 6-8 years meet Wednesdays 6-7.30pm
Cubs 8-10 years meet Wednesday 6-7.30pm
Scouts 10-14 years meet Fridays 6.30-8pm

So while they're making memories on the dancefloor, they'll also be helping other young people make memories that will last a lifetime

What an incredible evening! 💜

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, supported us, bought food, entered the raffle, or simply stopped by to say hello at our fundraising event.

We're absolutely delighted to share that, thanks to your amazing generosity, we raised an incredible £735.55 for 5th Ryde Scout Group! 🎉

Every penny will help us continue to provide exciting adventures, new experiences and valuable life skills for the young people in our group. We couldn't do it without the support of our fantastic local community.

🧑‍🍳 Ready, Steady, Cook! 🧑‍🍳

For our final Scouts cooking session, funded by Ryde Town Council, the Scouts put their chef skills to the test and worked together to create a delicious three-course meal.

🥖 Starter: Garlic Bread
🍝 Main: Spaghetti Bolognese
🍓🍇 Dessert: Fruit Kebabs

The Scouts planned, prepared and cooked the meal themselves, learning valuable cooking skills, food hygiene and teamwork along the way. A fantastic way to finish our chef badge sessions – well done everyone! 👏

A huge thank you to Ryde Town Council for funding these sessions once again and helping our young people gain new skills, confidence and experiences. We really appreciate your continued support.

Last month our Cubs had a great time having a go at archery! 🏹

They learned new skills, challenged themselves, and had lots of fun aiming for the target. A big thank you to the Isle of Wight Scout Archery Club for a fantastic evening.

Back in April, our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts celebrated St George’s Day with a range of fun activities, games and crafts. Everyone got involved in learning about St George and why he is an important figure in Scouting.

As the Patron Saint of Scouting, St George represents courage, determination and helping others – values that are at the heart of what we do every week. It was great to see all our young people working together, taking on challenges and enjoying the celebrations.

Chef Badge Series – Sponsored by Ryde Town Council

Last term, our Scouts ,Beavers and Cubs took part in a series of activities working towards their Chef Badge, kindly funded by Ryde Town Council. They learned new cooking skills, worked together as a team, and created a range of tasty dishes, including rice crispy cakes,pitta pizzas 🍕,chocolate bananas and more.

A big thank you to Ryde Town Council for supporting these sessions and helping our young people gain valuable Skills for Life. 🍳⚜️

Please come along and support the Charity Quiz Night on Sunday 31st May at 8pm at The Castle Inn, Sandown. We have 5 Scouts from 5th Ryde going to Coburg in October, and all money raised will help support the trip.

Come to The Castle Inn, Sandown on Sunday 31 May for a great quiz and help raise money to help get the contingent of 68 members to Coburg in October.

Advice is to get there before so as to be ready to start exercising those brain cells prompt at 8pm.

5th Ryde Scout hall is a great location to host weekly events, fitness classes, etc..
We have a spacious hall with a large outdoor area, kitchen and WI-FI.

Reasonable rental rates with a discount for regular bookings.

The money helps support our Scout Group.
