As you are probably aware, Ryde has been selected for the Government’s Pride in Place programme, bringing £19.5 million of investment over the next decade to support health and wellbeing, boost the local economy and improve community facilities.
The Ryde Neighbourhood Board has agreed a ten-year Vision setting out how this funding could transform the town and now we want local people to help us shape what happens next.
📍 Drop-in Session – This Friday
🗓 Friday 6 March 2026
📌 Former NatWest foyer, St Thomas’ Square, Ryde
⏰ 2.30pm – 6pm (drop in anytime)
Residents, businesses and community groups are invited to come along, learn more about the Vision, ask questions and share ideas. Board members will be there throughout to listen and discuss how you can get involved.
Ideas currently include:
✔️ A community grants programme
✔️ Town centre and seafront improvements
✔️ Support for local businesses
✔️ New sports and recreational opportunities
✔️ Bringing empty buildings back into use
✔️ Safer, more accessible public spaces
✔️ Better access along the Esplanade and beachfront
✔️ Skills and training opportunities
✔️ Practical upgrades like benches, signage, toilets and improved disabled access
If you can’t attend in person, you can read (or listen to) the full Vision document and share your feedback online:
