Hello everyone
I finally decided to post an update and some information for those that have missed it on other places.
Iam Amy MacWatt Ian's wife and secretary and trustee in the Charity.
If you have missed the sad fact,Ian has passed away on May 19th after a short illness
He saw everyone he loved and walked very peacefully into the eternal light. We are forever grateful to the wonderful staff of Wellow Ward where he was sedated on Saturday 17th and passed away Monday .
He was cremated and his ashes were buried at the family home in Dorchester ...and a mountain ash tree planted in his memory. To make everything even harder we lost my stepson 2 months after his dad...a shock and absolutely devastating for us all especially the 2 grandsons and his wonderful wife .
It has been an incredibly challenging time
It's an immense loss and for me personally after 41 years with my husband
everything has changed .
We have been running down stocks on the last small Charity shop in Ryde and will close this down December 15th .All other plans and decisions by the trustee board will be posted here in early 2026
When you next hear from me it will be with some photos from our yearly Christmas Donation to our Island Hospitals children's ward with dedicated cancer unit when we deliver sacks full of goodies from Father Christmas
We all wish you a blessed and peaceful Advent
Thank you for your support and interest in all these years
