Come and spend a relaxed afternoon among nature. Relax by the pond, tend to the sensory garden, try a bit of art or just enjoy the ambience with a cup of tea.

Interested in finding out more about volunteering at Fairfield? Come and get stuck in with feeding, caring and cleaning for the animals under the guidance of experienced Animal Care Volunteer Mentors

Leave the kids at home and spend some quality time among the animals however you wish. Play with the goats, chill out by the pond, watch the lambs skipping around or cuddle up with a pig. The choice is yours. Guided by one of our Volunteer Hosts you can enjoy your evening just how you like.

Feed and groom the goats, stroke the sheep, scratch the pigs bellies and play with the ducks or spend some time playing in the sand and water play areas. Help to fill hay nets or even scoop the p**p! A hands on, interactive farm experience which is fun for all the family.
All Ages (Children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult)

Not so little now, but Harry and Hufflepuff are having a relaxing mini-break with one of our volunteers for a few days while Harry gets a little bit of TLC.
Avid Harry fans will know this little guy had a lot of challenges in the early stages of life, and is now struggling with his legs again so is on pen rest and receiving extra vitamins (and extra peas too) to boost his strength.
Hufflepuff is along for the spa break.

We had a great day at Moulton Harvest and Tractor Working Weekend! What a fabulous village event, and only in its 4th year.

So many lovely visitors came to meet our sheep and ducks, and have a chat about coming to visit the farm for group visits and wellbeing activities.

Thank you to the organisers of the show for inviting us and making us feel like special guests , and we look forward to joining you next year. 😁

What a fab first home schooling session of the new term we had today!

Bugs, feathers and ducks.

I thought I would be sharing my knowledge with the kids, but I learnt SO MUCH!

Three cool things I learnt today:

* we found silverfish (those little critters that live in old houses) in the damp leaf litter in the ditches (they're one of my favourite insects!)

* that stick insects lay eggs and they're all FEMALE! They do not require fertilised eggs for female offspring to be produced.

* bullrush seeds are hydrophobic (naturally water repellent) and they literally come out of the water completely dry! Well done for discovering such a cool fact!

I can't wait for next week's session!

Great afternoon at Wragby Show!

A huge congratulations to all the volunteers and Future Farmers (Sunday) who worked hard training the sheep to walk on a halter and clean feet and bums ready for the judging!

Freya got a second with the muscovy duck she chose, and our young Chinese geese got placed second and third in the poultry show..

No rosette for our beautiful Cookie this time, and our ram lambs didn't get placed because a certain part of their anatomy isn't developed enough yet 🤣 but this was a fantastic learning experience for our young shepherdesses!

Max and Micky did, however, walk away with a sixth place rosette in the pairs class which was amazing considering the HUGE number of sheep entered and going up against some stunning commercial and primitive sheep! Matching bottoms was more important than size in this class! 😁🤣

What a day some of our team had at Wragby Show yesterday with our small flock of rare breed North Ronaldsay sheep!

The girls did so well that nearly every sheep featured on Look North last night was one of the farms!

It’s not too late to join us at Family Farm Club on Thursday, 5.30-6.30pm
Get hands on with the goats, sheep, pigs and ducks. Help with feeding and even meet the new rare breed lambs. Cuddle a duckling or sit with the sheep. A great experience for young and old alike!
