My name is Vicki Oxley and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Rushden, Northamptonshire. I am committed to providing a fun, friendly and safe environment for the children in my care. I endeavour to provide children with stimulating learning opportunities that reflect their age and stage of development through play and every day experiences. I understand that each child is an individual
and treat them with care, empathy and respect. I believe in working in partnership with parents; welcoming ideas and encouraging parents to provide me with comments and suggestions to promote their child’s development and wellbeing. I run my setting professionally, respecting confidentiality and keeping organised records. I also ensure that I attend training opportunities to enhance my knowledge and experience. I have clear policies and procedures and I am committed to providing a reliable service that parents can depend on and in which they can have confidence. I registered as a childminder in November 2015. I am registered to care for five children under eight years old of which no more than three can be under school age and one under one year old. As a Registered Childminder I can provide care for children from birth to twelve years old in a home environment. I am happy to take on any child within my registered numbers and will not discriminate against children or their families for reasons such as race, religion, sex or ability. I am willing to pick up and drop off to local play groups or schools within the Rushden area. About me
I am 41 years old and live with my husband Richard and our two girls Macy and Ruby. Richard is a Postman working for the Royal Mail and is also a Thai Boxing instructor working with both adults and children. Richard fully supports me in my childminding business and has a current DBS certificate. Our girls attend local schools; Ruby attends a Junior School in Rushden and Macy attends a Senior School in Higham Ferrers. We have lived in Rushden for over 25 years and our home is within walking distance of local parks, schools playgroups, the library and our local town. Prior to childminding, I worked at a Pre-School as a Supervisor providing care for up to 44 children within a setting that provided care for babies to teens. I decided to become a childminder to enable me to spend time with my family and also to provide quality care to a smaller number of children. I therefore chose to become a childminder to offer a fun and stimulating learning environment in my own home. Qualifications
