Fought in the North Sea, over 250 ships and around 100,000 sailors were involved in a clash that would shape naval warfare for years to come. While historians still debate the outcome, the scale of the battle, and the experiences of those who served, remain remarkable.
At Runcorn Sea Cadets, learning about naval history is an important part of our programme. It helps our cadets connect with the past and understand the traditions of the Royal Navy.
Today we remember those who served at Jutland and reflect on their place in history.
